H04. Preliminary study on regulating holiday rentals

Prepare a preliminary study of holiday rentals in the municipality. It will examine the geographic distribution and types of registered and unregistered holiday homes; their effect on residential rents and housing availability; the legal powers and tools available to the Town Council, including inspections, sanctions and cooperation with the Island Council and Balearic Government; and regulatory options suited to Sóller and its administrative capacity. The study will inform concrete measures in the medium-term plan.
